About : Chettikulangara Kumbha Bharani is one of the most amazing festivals that is celebrated at Chettikulangar Temple in Kerala in the Malayalam month of Kumbham and is dedicated to the Goffess Bhagavathy. On this day, the entire town is lit up and is surrounded by happiness and merriment. The main attraction for people on this day is the Kettukazcha, the giant structures that are decorated with cloth, flowers, and ornaments. Thousands of people work for days to make these 90 to 100 ft tall structures. There are three categories- the Theru (chariot), Kuthira (horse) and three other figures of Bhima, Hanuman and Panchali. In the evening, these idols are taken to the temple via the city roads. Many people perform different art and folk show to make it a very memorable experience.
