About : Karva Chauth is a one-day festival celebrated by Hindu women in northern India for the well-being of their husbands. On this day, all the married women observe a traditional fast till moonrise, which is offered for the wealth and longevity of their husbands. The celebration of this day also includes the application of henna and some other cosmetics by the women.
