About : The National Day in Iran is celebrated on the 11th of February each year to mark the Iranian revolution in 1979. The National Day of Iran was established to commemorate overthrowing a monarchical government led by Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. After the overthrow of Pahlavi’s government, it was replaced by a temporary Islamic republic under the leadership of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. During this day, public demonstrations from opposition forces swarm the street for protest against the current government and its current national military program.
