About : Peach Blossom Day is a Japanese Holiday to celebrate peach blossoms and is celebrated annually on March 3, 2020. This day has many names- Doll Festival, Girls' Day and Hinamatsuri. Originally, this holiday was a religious holiday when people put dolls in miniature boats and send them out to sea with the hope to get rid of their troubles. Nowadays, this holiday is celebrated with a large display of dolls and is known as a celebration for all girly things. Since peach trees bloom during this time, the blossoms are a large part of the celebration.
