About : Kuwait National Day is a National holiday celebrated to mark the day when Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ascended to the throne in 1950. On this day, there are many nation-wide festivities that take place including amazing firework display, public gathering with food and drinks and lots of other entertaining activities. Many family get-togethers also take place in public areas such as Messila Beach and Al-Sha'ab Leisure park. People on this day dress up in traditional costumes. The whole country is also decorated with lights and National flags and other patriot emblems.
